So I was making great progress on my next story for publication and had looked forward to spending most of today, my day off, writing and possibly finishing up the rough draft.

The technology gods had other plans for me, I guess. My trusty laptop, which has been with me through thick and thin, decided today was a good day to die.

So, instead of spending the day writing, I had to go out and buy a new laptop. Then I had to spend the past four hours setting it up, installing my commonly used programs, and syncing my data from the cloud.

I must say, cloud storage has been a life saver. All my writing is saved in the cloud, so I didn’t lose anything.

It’ll be at least a week before I have the new laptop set up the way I like it, but it’ll do.
